Chip in to help make Indie Game – The Movie
May 19, 2010
As regular readers will tell you from the recent spate of interviews with indie developers, infinitecontinues likes to champion the cause of the ‘little guy’, being little guys ourselves of course. Clearly, we’re not alone in this. James Swirsky and Lisanne Pajot of digital film production company BlinkWorks want to make a feature-length film about indie game developers, but they need your help to do it.
This is from the offical website of Indie Game – The Movie, which explains more about the project:
Indie Game: The Movie is a feature documentary about video games, their creators and the craft. It examines independent game developers as a way to understand the medium and the theory behind video games. Throughout, the film focuses on the human side of the creative process, and the connections between game and game-maker.
In order to complete their documentary, BlinkWorks are looking for kind souls to pledge money on their Kickstarter page, along with varying degrees of swag as reward for this virtual I-scratch-your-back-you-scratch-mine exchange. If this excerpt from the documentary is a good judge of the quality of the final film, it’s clearly a worthy cause, and it certainly communcates the filmmakers’ desire to get across ‘the human side of the creative process.’ Go donate!
