There is a definite RPG-tastic flavour to this week’s update, as the Collection gets a massive shot in the arm. Continued flirtations with Final Fantasy XIII prompted a concerted effort to plug the glaring gaps in the back catalogue of Square Enix’s long-running series, with no less than seven new Final Fantasy games, as well as a curiosity over some of the its other lesser-known RPG games, like Lost Odyssey and Infinite Undiscovery for the Xbox 360. Elsewhere, espionage and stealth action gets a check in its box with the additions of Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3 to the library, and adventure games and fighters get a little boost with Tomb Raider III and Street Fighter EX2 Plus, both for the original PlayStation. A trip to the local CEX also threw up a treasure trove of bargains, with a heavy bias towards PS2 and Gamecube titles. The full, massive, update comes after the break.
